I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Biology from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (Greece), and I am currently in the final year of my master’s studies in Bioinformatics at the same university. My master’s thesis focused on cancer chemoresistance but I wanted to try something new, especially in the field of evolutionary biology. I joined the Gonzalez Lab for a 4-month internship to learn a different bioinformatic approach and explore the fascinating realm of transposable elements and their role in natural adaptation.
