The work was started at Dmitri Petrov lab in collaboration with Anna Sophie Fiston-Lavier at Stanford University, and Hadi Quesneville lab at URGI, and finished in our lab thanks to the work of several grad students and postdoctoral researchers. We analyze 91\u00a0<em>D. melanogaster\u00a0<\/em>samples collected in 60 natural populations to identify candidate adaptive TE insertions. We have learned about the potential role of TE-induced mutations in stress-response, behaviour and development.
