Fribourg), we co-organized the 9th DrosEU workshop<\/li><li>On the 20th of August together with La Ciencia Al Teu M\u00f2n (LCATM) we run a citizen science workshop<\/li><li>The 21st of August was a busy day with four talks lead by our reserach team and outreach collaborators:<ul><li>Josefa Gonz\u00e1lez gave a short talk about the citizen science project <em>Melanogaster Catch The Fly <\/em>that this year is expanding to Europe<\/li><li>Roberto Torres from LACTM gave a short talk about our <em>Science and Society <\/em>outreach workshops<\/li><li>Miriam Merenciano presented her PhD work on <em>The molecular and phenotypic characterization of a roo element under different environmental challenges<\/em><\/li><li>Mar\u00eda Bogaerts-Marquez presented her PhD work on <em>T-lex3: an accurate tool to genotype and estimate transposable element population frequencies using the latest short-read<\/em> whole genome sequencing data<\/li><\/ul><\/li><li>On Friday 23rd two last contributions in<ul><li>Vivien Horvath presented her PhD work on <em>Characterizing the molecular basis of dessication tolerance in Drosophila melanogaster Eurpean Populations<\/em><\/li><li>Carlos Ruiz-Arenas from ISGlobal presented a tool he developed during his PhD and in which we are collaborating <em>RecombClust: identification of chromosome subpopulations by recombination differences<\/em> <\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The lab has participated at ESEB2019 with multiple activities On the 19th August, together with Thomas Flatt (U.
